Food and Beverage Manager

Tanganyika’s Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for working with the Chief of Support to manage all food and beverage operations (excluding catering) and for delivering an excellent guest experience. They will ensure that Tanganyika’s vision, goals and objectives are met. This position ensures that quality food is provided to all guests in a friendly and courteous manner. This position is responsible for the supervision, training and development of all Consumables team members. Provides leadership to the team to ensure a positive guest experience while exceeding financial goals.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assists with the procurement, production, and service of food to all guests to achieve financial and non-financial objectives.
• Interacts with guests, resolves issues and addresses complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Manage day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
• Monitors inventory and places orders utilizing quantities on hand.
• Establishes cleaning schedules and other sanitary controls as required by the county and or state health department and Company policy.
• Lead our Consumables team by attracting, recruiting, training, and nurturing an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.
• Coordinate the scheduling of the consumables team.
• Ensure the quality of finished products meets or exceeds Tanganyika standards.
• Assists with maintaining the highest rating on health inspections and corrects any deficiencies.

Requirements:

• You must be 21 or over to apply for this position.
• Must hold valid driver’s license
• Proven food and beverage management experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to spot and resolve challenges efficiently
• Desire to grow as a team member, leader, and human being
• Ability to stand or walk and be able to perform physical work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50-75 pounds when necessary
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, weekdays, holidays
